Latina-owned business spreads message of positivity through artwork – WGAL Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is all about celebrating your culture and honoring your heritage. Gutierrez-Hawbaker is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She said the idea to create the brand came when her son donated money, he made from his grandmother's yard sale to help the people of Puerto Rico rebuild from Hurricane Maria. "It made me look inward and ask myself well what I am doing to support my community and celebrate our people," she said. "The values and attributes of the Latino culture are so beautiful, and they're forms of strength and resilience, so all our artwork reflects that." Edith Gutierrez-Hawbaker is the founder and owner of 'Te Lo Juro' Collective. The collective is comprised of a group of artists who create custom art pieces, fashion, and designs through cultural iconography and positive messages.

Editor’s Letter - Inspiring Mami
I love hearing from mompreneurs like Edith Gutierrez-Hawbaker, who recently messaged me about starting the Te Lo Juro Collective, a line of products celebrating Latin culture, artists, and organizations that embody “positivity y amor.” Her inspo? “I realized I needed to do more when my 7-year-old son, Levi, sold some of his toys at his Abuela’s garage sale and donated the money to help Puerto Rico rebuild,” says the proud Argentine mom. - Grace Bastidas, Editor-In-Chief
